The Old Town School of Folk Music is a Chicago teaching and performing institution that launched the careers of many notable folk music artists. Founded by Folk musicians Frank Hamilton and Win Stracke, and Dawn Greening, the School opened in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago in (the original location at west North Avenue has since been demolished). Classes are taught in 8-week sessions and cost $ per session. An early-bird discount of 10% is offered prior to each session. Rental instruments are available if needed. All of the classes are offered at the Folk School, Washington Avenue.
